A gothic entryway runs on black, candlelight and a little decay, and it all has to come down on November 1 without a mark on the paint. Every piece below attaches without drilling, and each guide lists how it hangs, the damage risk and where to mount it so it sits within easy reach from a seated position. Tap a piece for the full guide.

Keep it safe and rental-friendly
- Check your lease and building rules. Some buildings limit what may hang in shared hallways or on doors.
- Do not cover the peephole, the number plate or the smoke detector, and keep decor off sprinkler heads and fire exits.
- Keep the walking path clear and wide enough for a wheelchair. Decor mounted between 15 and 48 inches from the floor sits within the ADA reach range, which also helps if you use a wheelchair.
- Check the weight rating on every adhesive hook before you hang a wreath or any heavier piece.
- Inspect any lighting cord for damage, and prefer battery lights.
Take-down
Peel tape slowly at a low angle and pull adhesive-hook tabs straight down along the strip. Store the set flat for next year.
